Watch the new film “The Man who Would be King,” from director Burton, starring Ryan Gosling, here.
The movie opens on June 8.
It’s an adaptation of the novel by Philip K. Dick, and centers on a small, obscure, and often misunderstood nation.
It follows the story of a man named Robert E. Smith, who’s convinced he’s a man of genius, but is actually just a young man trying to keep his mind occupied and his head above water by working as a construction worker in Manhattan, New York.
The movie, which was released by Paramount Pictures in 2018, is directed by Tim Burton, who is the co-creator of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and has also written, produced, and directed films including “Frozen,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Big Chill,” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
