The voyeuristic videos you can watch on your phone are actually pretty common, says the creator of a new app that lets you capture them.
The app, called “Pornographer” and designed by Sydney-based designer David Farrar, lets you record yourself viewing porn on your smartphone or tablet, as well as take a “videocast” recording of the moment you’re captured.
The results are really cool, Farrars said.
He created the app after his daughter, who was in her late teens at the time, made a few videos in the early days of Snapchat.
She was not satisfied with her first crop, so she went back to Snapchat and asked for her mother’s permission.
“I told her, ‘This is something I want to see,’ ” Farras said.
The two apps, Fargas said, have similar features: You can use the camera to capture yourself on a set, and then record yourself as you view it. “
Farrar said his app was inspired by a similar app called “Sexycam,” which is a social media app for voyeurists.

In the “sex cam” app, you can record yourself having sex with a partner or other people, as opposed to just seeing someone else.
Farra said the idea for Pornographer came from his daughter’s Snapchat videos, which showed her in a number of situations that made her uncomfortable. “
You can take a video of yourself on your iPhone or iPad, and it doesn’t exist in my app,” he said.

“The videos are so beautiful.
It’s like a very intimate moment,” he recalled her saying.
FARRAR said he was inspired to create Pornographer after seeing a couple of friends sharing their experiences with voyeurizing.
“There’s a bunch of people who are watching these voyeurist videos, and they’re sharing what they’ve seen and they have this little piece of their mind that they want to share with other people.
So, I started thinking, how do I capture that moment and make it real?”
He said he thought about the voyeur’s voyeurs’ voyeur images and their voyeur-like behavior.
“But it just wasn’t me, it wasn’t how I felt, it was too much,” Farram said.
The developer said he and his girlfriend decided to go public with the app, which is now available for free download on the Google Play Store.
Farga said Pornographer isn’t intended to be a documentary about voyeurisms.
Instead, it aims to be something that will “just make you feel a little bit more connected to these voyeys.”
Farr, a former film editor, said he wanted to make a tool for people to have a voice, and for him to be able to share his experiences with people.
“What I’m doing is not to be the hero of the story,” he explained.
“It’s just an experiment.”
The app uses Google’s own Street View technology to show you around the world, as Farr’s daughter recorded her videos.
The developers say Pornographer’s focus is on the voyeous images, not the voyeer, but they also want to capture the voyehist experience.
“We want to help people share that with each other,” Fargar said.
You can watch the app at Pornographer.com, or download the free app for iOS and Android.
Farrow said he plans to share more videos in future.
